Providing crisis response guidelines and incident management training to a global organization can be a daunting task, as one large financial firm quickly learned. MGM Associates was called to assist in developing threat management, crisis management, and consequence management protocols. By working with the multiple business units involved in their incident management response plan, we identified the client’s most significant and immediate threats, carefully evaluated their current response capabilities, developed detailed and customized crisis guidelines, and defined specific roles for an internal incident management team.

A crisis in today’s global environment can occur anywhere, anytime. Workplace violence, domestic and international terrorism, kidnapping, natural disasters, industrial accidents, or a simple power failure all have the potential of interrupting business operations and causing serious problems for an organization. Comprehensive pre-incident planning, effective crisis communications, and compassionate post-incident interventions are all part of today’s complex crisis management curriculum.
